Cardones Village
A conservation-focused retreat, Cardones Village is defined by its iconic cardón cactus forest. Spanning 1,085 acres, only a small portion of this village is developed, accommodating just 10 to 12 private ranchettes. This limited footprint preserves the spirit of the desert, maintaining the rich flora and quiet beauty of Baja’s interior.
At the heart of the village, a central Equestrian Center and clubhouse serve both residents and guests, offering guided horseback tours along the peninsula’s scenic trails. With only 0.1% of the total project density allocated here, Cardones Village stands as a serene testament to nature-driven living.
The Cardones Village: Área de Planeación 6 (Village 6)
The 1,085-acre Cardones Village is defined by the vast desert forest it protects: the cardón cacti. A close relative of the organ pipe cactus, the cardón not only shapes this village but also plays a defining role in the character of PDLS as a whole. Though not classified as environmentally sensitive, the cardón holds great significance for the PDLS landscape. Recognizing the impact that development could have on this unique environment, PDLS has designated nearly the entire village as a Conservation Area, preserving its natural beauty.
Only 10 to 12 exclusive ranchettes will be permitted within this village, catering specifically to gentleman ranchers and equestrian enthusiasts. These large lots, ranging from three to five acres, will be carefully scattered throughout the area to create a sense of total seclusion for residents.
The only commercial operation allowed in Cardones Village will be the Equestrian Center and Clubhouse, where both PDLS residents and visitors can arrange guided horseback riding tours along the community’s extensive trail system. With just 0.1% of PDLS’s total density allocated to this village, Cardones Village remains a sanctuary for those seeking a deep connection with the land.
